Oil Prices For Anyone Looking

These are the prices I got yesterday:

Romanelli & Son
Ceiling plan $3.49/gallon
service contract $125

Meenan
Celing plan $3.61/gallon
service contract $139 (they negotiated it down to $100)
$100 sign on bonus

Lewis
Fixed $3.52/gallon
Ceiling plan $3.60/gallon
Service contract $69
Sign on bonus $100

Slomin kept me on hold forever so I haven't gotten their rate

General Fuel are complete jerks!!! I used them last year. They delivered oil for me last week at $4.19/gallon (after my contract was up), more than any company I called. I've called them for a week now trying to negotiate the price but their receptionist were so unbelievably rude and condescending. Today is my 5th phone call to them and the 5th time I was told somebody from the sales dept will call me back yet they never do. I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone after I have experience what their customer service is like. The receptionist was yelling and talking over me, I have never experienced anything like this. I was shaking of anger when I got off the phone with her.

Well this is my list so far, feel free to add to it. HTH

Thanks. We gave General as well and despise the CS. However there service department is simply the best. Its the only reason we have stayed with them.

Actually if you read the fine print of your contract, they have the right to continue to deliver oil to you at market rates. These "contracts" typically have built in renewal clauses. They just bill you for another year of service and the continue to deliver.

In the future, you need to specifically call them and cancel the contract... not just let it expire.

Yes thank you I realize that now and now know this is true for all oil companies but they charged me a lot more than the price of oil for that day. I think waiting a week for a phone call back is a long time to discuss a bill, I sure know new customers don't wait that long to sign a contract.
