Provincial or Special Walnut Stain
Hi Guys! Bill is coming to do my banister and I am between these 2 stains!
Does anyone have pics? Eventually we want to get new hardwood floors put down to match.

Funny, I'm between these two for my floors! I had Provincial in my last house and really liked it (didn't show dirt easily but also didn't show dust like a dark stain will). But thinking of the Special Walnut since it's just a touch darker.

That is so funny! The provincial it isn't too light right? I want to get my floors done also but I didn't want to dark like you said, I don't want it to show dust etc. I love dark furniture, but it is such a pain to keep clean!!!

We did provincial and love it!! tons of pics in my house album (the "after" pics of course) there are also pics of my bannister with the provincal stain i believe.

Thank you so much! It looks beautiful! It is so hard to pick because I didn't want anything with really red in it! I think this is the perfect stain, not too dark, not too light! Thanks again!

On online the provincial looks darker then the special walnut, but that isn't true in person right?

i have never seen special walnut in person so i'm not sure.
can say for sure that the provincial does not have any red in it!

My floor guy was there today showing me all the stain options on my floor. I mistyped that the Special Walnut was darker, I was thinking of the Dark Walnut. Special Walnut is quite a bit lighter.
I decided on the Provincial, in any case!
