Which swing
Did you register for?
BTDT: How long was your LO in the swing for? Do you remember the portable one or the regular?

The ones that we saw this weekend (portable) were all battery operated . Thanks I will look into plug ins.

We have the Fischer Price Little Lamb swing. DS loved it. He slept in that swing until he was 8 months old  It was lunacy. It was by far the best investment we made. We will use the same one for DD when she arrives. I ordered a new cushion/cover from FP for DD. It is battery operated. We bought DD batteries from Costco on a monthly basis. It eats through them but so worth it for a few hours of sleep

We had a portable swing for DD and I have to say that I loved it. I loved that we could fold it up and put it in the hall closet when we weren't using it. And we could easily take it out with us if we were going to spend a day at a family member's house.
IMO a portable swing is a must. If you want to register for 2, then get the 2, but I kinda feel like the portable swing was more valuable to us then the regular one was! I ended up throwing my regular swing away!

I had a portable swing from Bright Starts. It was battery operated, but I think in the five months I used it, we changed the batteries 2x.

First I wanted the Little Lamb one, but then I saw it in a store and that thing is huge! So I checked out the portable swings which are much smaller.
I decided on the Bright Starts portable swing. It was cheap and got a "good" rating in the Baby Bargains book

I got this one but I also got the Fisher Price Luv U Zoo swing and seat in one. It swings and vibrates and takes up much less room then the snuggabunny. If DS is content in that seat I might return the snuggabunny...but I have both now just in case.

We used our swing every day for 3 hours+ for 6 months before we had to switch out the batteries.

We had this one for my first DD and will be using it my second DD this winter. DD #1 wasnt a big fan of the swing so i didnt use it too often but I'll give it another try with DD #2. All kids are different!

BTDT: we had the little lamb swing and my daughter actually slept in it at night for the first 3 months bc she had gas issues and it just cradled her up in the right position that was comfy for her.
we used it for about 8 months then she started trying to get out of it so that was the end of it.
im one of those parents who swear by the swing lol
only thing i hated about it was that it was battery operated, but they actually lasted long. i would go for the bunny one that plugs in, it just doesnt come with the toy bar (which we never used anyways on the lamb swing).
