Help me decorate my LR/DR! (with pics)

The renovations continue...

We have our living room furniture (finally!) and now need to get blinds and curtains. We are hoping to get white wood blinds (well, faux wood blinds anyway). We have these ripped-up, broken shades from the previous owner now.

The living room opens up to the dining room. Dining room is BM Raspberry Truffle and a light beige with white trim.

Living room is beige and brown, with red accents (some in the rug, some throw pillows) to pull the color from the DR. Do I do a red curtain? Or is that too much? If we do beige, or brown, is that too much beige and brown?

What color curtains should I do? For the LR we have a bay/bow window. Do I just do two panels on the far sides of the opening to the windows or curtains on each individual window?

My DR furniture is black with cherry tabletop. I was thinking of doing a sheer white or bright white curtain in the DR to brighten up the room.
