Has anyone know about co culture?
I had a consult and an RE mentioned it. Has anyone had it done? Pros/cons?

Re: Has anyone know about co culture?
Yes, I had it done for two IVF cycles at Cornell. I had done 2 IVF cycles prior at another clinic and my embyros were always fragmented and didn't look so great. With co=culture they really looked great. I think it helps the embryos, but it wont make a bad embryo good...just give them a bit of help and rest is up to you and the cells. It never worked for me, but I also found out after the fact that I had an adhesion in my uterus and elevated NK cells. So I'll never know if it really did help. But, it certainly made them look better.

Re: Has anyone know about co culture?
I know that Cornell does it. When I first consulted with my RE I asked him about it and he told me that the studies do not show that co-culture improves pregnancy rates or else he would do it. I don't personally know if this is true or nort because I know many at Cornell have it done. You may want to check out the New York boards at ivfconnections and speak to other Cornell ladies who have had it done.
