Liberty of the Seas
Has anyone gone on this ship? We are going to do a European cruise next September and was thinking of this ship. Pros? Cons?
TIA

I went on the Navigator..pretty sure it's a sister ship, and I loved it.
Where does the cruise dock?

I love Liberty - best ship I've been on. I was on her last November - but note that was before they 'Dreamworked' the ship. Not sure how the changes have increased or decreased experiences.

I saw that they "Dreamworked" the ship. Thats the one thing I am wondering about. Will this ship be geared toward kids?

Re: Liberty of the Seas
For a European cruise, I think that it wouldn't because I would assume that the average age would be skewed higher. Just because they have characters there doesnt mean that it's in your face. I would think that would come more into play with the Florida/Caribbean cruise where the number of kiddos is probably a much higher percentage.
We went on a NCL cruise this summer - the one with Spongebob. Didn't see him or Patrick once - even though I was looking for them! Mostly you'll just see events in the daily activity list and that's it - at least that was the way NCL handled it.

Thats true- it probably will be at the events. I would like to see some of the characters but not all the time.

I think they have a dreamworks parade, but I'm guessing that might be the only time you see the characters.
Remember, this is also a money making thing for them. If you have kids that want to see and meet character X, they charge for it. So they're not usually just roaming around free causing chaos. Fortunately it's not like a mascot at a sporting event.
