Menopur
So we're moving along with IVF #3 when AF arrives. #1 was a BFN and #2 miscarried at 6 weeks. I spoke with RE today and he said that we're adding Menopur. I was going to google it, but figured girls on here are much better than google!!! Anyhow, what does it do? When do you take it(during stims???)? Is it sub q or IM? any side effects? I will also be on 300iu of follistim. I'm not doing BCP this cycle b/c I ovulated on it with both other cycles so were starting stims on CD2.

Re: Menopur
I just starting using Menopur a few nights ago. It contains FSH and LH. No major side effects, aside from an upset stomach, but I'm not sure if it was from the meds. It is injected subcutaneously, and burns a bit going in, but it doesn't last too long. In my case, I started it on stims day 3, after my gonal was decreased. My RE upped my dosage to two vials as of tonight.
Best of luck to you!

Re: Menopur
My old doctor had something to the effect that menopur is from a "natural" source whereas follistim and gonal are synthetic, and that having "natural" in the equation has shown to give better results..
