when u r on a break,meds question..

so this month we r not doing a medicated cycle..waiting to get ivf started..might be next month might be nov(cost was a bit more than we thought)

anyways..i was just thinking..who knows if i will even ovulate without any meds but say i do and dh and i ..would u still take lovenox and progesterone?

should i start them assuming i ovulate around cd 14..?

i know the odds are slim to none of actually getting pregnant but if i did i woudl hate for anything bad to happen bc i was not on these meds

am i making sense lol? what do u girls do when u r on a break?

I don't ovulate on my own so this was never a concern for me... but you should def ask Dr.B what he suggests! I know neither of those drugs could do any harm... just lots of liners of bruising

I ovulate on my own and every time we took a break -whether forced or for our own mental health - I did not take any meds except continued with prenatals and baby aspirin. It was kind of nice not being on anything. That way when we were back in it, I felt more motivated and ready to begin.

i would just take your chances and not take the meds. if you started progesterone too early it could really mess up any ovulation that was going to happen. i wouldn't ever assume CD14 unless your previous cycles were very consistently CD14.

i had to take a break once for a new job, and all i took was metformin during the break. i did ovulate (which is rare for me) but i didn't get pregnant. at that point i wasn't on lovenox yet. if i had gotten pregnant i probably would've started the meds after the BFP.

We are also doing a non med cycle and Im going to stay on baby aspirin, prednisone and crinone and lovenox. Can't hurt. If I didn't take it id feel like that was the reason it didn't work. I ovulate on my own though.

Before starting ivf, I thought about trying one last medicated timed cycle. But after being meds free for a couple of months my doc advised me not to. He said it would easier and faster to move into an ivf cycle without having to ween me off meds, or supress my body anymore than needed. Good luck
