Sofa/Loveseat/Chair Shopping

DH, DD and I are moving into our new house on Oct 1. The one thing we do not have is living room furniture.

We're on a pretty tight budget, so we're planning on shopping sales/clearance centers and the B&B going out of business sales.

Anyone have any reccomendations on where else to look? We need to get a sofa and loveseat, and we'd prefer a chair with ottoman or recliner as well...

The prices at Ashley Furniture seem very reasonable. I've never bought anything from them so I have no idea about quality though.

Raymore & Flanagan is the best place. there is a big price range so you have to look around or tell sales person how much you want to spend. We have been to many furniture stores and they are the best in QUALITY. We checked out Rooms Unlimited?? off rt112 I think port jeff or patchogue and they were cheaper but you get what you pay for.
We checked out Ashely Furniture too and the prices were not that far off from R&F butg nice stuff too. You have to shop around & see if these places fit your budget and style..

We just bought our living set from Bob's Discount Furniture. I love it and it's so comfy. I get tons of compliments on it when people come over.

We just ordered a set today - sofa, loveseat and a reclining chair - from Jennifer Convertible for $1099 (which was the 20% off sale price)... we also saw a similar set last night at Raymour & Flanagan that was around the same price except the chair didn't go with the set but was in a complementary color. They definitely have certain things that are more affordable. Bob's is pretty reasonable for everything but IMO it doesn't last as well as something from the other stores. I would suggest you just go to each of the stores, spend an afternoon looking around and pricing out options, since they all tend to be located near each other (Rte. 110, Glen Cove Rd.) it's do-able and will show you your options at each place.

we got GREAT deals on a living room set and master bedroom set (and mattress) from raymore and flannigan the clearance center in farmingdale. Quality is great and delivery was very fair pricing and wonderful as well. Def check it out- but you gotta go there. Their stock is not online. Good luck!

what about the clearance sections of some stores? Macy's has a huge back section.
