Need to buy a new washer/dryer..???
My washing machine sounds like its ready to explode; it was there when we bought the house- so I have no clue how old it is...
We looked at the electrolux- steam washer and dryer, as well as the whirlpool 4550 series steam washer/dryer....
Whirlpool didnt have such great reviews, and I couldnt find many reviews on the electrolux...
Please help!
I do not want to spend $$$ on crazy freatures... Id like front loaders (as thats what I have now); that are energy efficent, and something that does a nice-large size of laundry.... I don't need 100000 different types of cycles... just clean laundry
*I do like the idea of the steam* but I cant skip it...to get a better machine and save $$$

I bought new Lg front loaders last month and I'm very happy with them. Def affordable esp if you catch a sale. Mine are the 2240 models I believe

I am not a fan of front load washers... but I know there will be a similary version in front load... we just got the LG 5101 series and others I know love it. Might be more than what you are looking for. We also considered the Maytag bravos 850 series.

I was all ready to order these, but they got horrible reviews....
I know people are most likely to write the bad then the good though...

We have the Whirlpool Duet washer with steam(for a yr and half) and Dryer (for 21/2yrs). Love them! No issues at all. I read reviews at that time and bought models that were made in Germany and not Mexico. Whirlpool has had lots of issues since they moved some of their production to Mexico.

We have the whirlpool cabrio set and have loved it! We've had it about 3 years now. No issues, it's a top loading, HE, no agitator and tons of settings!

we also have this set and LOVE it, too! we've had it about 4 years, with no issues. love how much it can fit in there, how its HE, and how I can leave the lid up in between loads to dry everything out inside (i've heard front loaders can have issues with mildew/mold around the door seals). I would definitely recommend them!

Check the scratch and dent section at PC Richards! You might be able to find what you're looking for for a fraction of the price with maybe a little scratch on the back!

MAytag Bravos for Dryer...great reviews...the washer did not get as good as reviews. We are getting a new LG dryer this week..got great reviews but a little pricey for a top load...
