HSG and Going Back to Work
Were you able to go back to work after your HSG sonogram? I have mine scheduled for 8:30 am and then I am going to work - will I be able to handle a full day of work?

Re: HSG and Going Back to Work
I was totally fine. I had minimal cramping during and just a little light AF-like cramping later that day.

Re: HSG and Going Back to Work
There was no way I could have gone to work that day. I had a blockage that was cleared during the HSG so it was painful for me. Lots of girls say it didnt hurt & they were fine.

Re: HSG and Going Back to Work
I was fine. I had zero pain and felt fine after. I really think it will depend on if you have a blockage.

Re: HSG and Going Back to Work
I have a veery physical job so I wouldn't. I was just achy afterwards so if I had a desk job I would go to work. Xo

Re: HSG and Going Back to Work
I think it depends on whether or not you have blockages. I had zero pain but had zero blockages. I even went to the gym that night for a regular workout.

Re: HSG and Going Back to Work
I had zero pain after. I also did not have any blockages so its tough to say until you have it done how you will be after...good luck

Re: HSG and Going Back to Work
I didn't have a blockage, but because of the difficulty getting the cath into the cervix, I was bleeding a lot and I was sore/crampy. I was also leaking stuff and was just all-around uncomfortable. I was ok about 6 hours later... maybe if you're a tough cookie and have a sit-down job, I'm sure you could.
G/L!

And I had blockages and not much pain so it really depends on each person.

Re: HSG and Going Back to Work
I did not have a blockage and went on my lunch break, I was fine going back to work. Way later on at night I had some mild AF-like cramping which was sooo much less painful than real AF cramps.
But I guess if you have a blockage it could be different?

Re: HSG and Going Back to Work
i took the day off only because i wasnt sure what to expect. i didnt have any pain during or after the HSG. I had very little cramping later in the day. i think everyone has a different experience with it...

Re: HSG and Going Back to Work
I didn't but only because I passed out from the blood they took after the sonogram. If it was only the sonogram I would have went into work

Re: HSG and Going Back to Work
I had the day off but I could have gone in to work after it as others have said it depends on whether there is blockage

Re: HSG and Going Back to Work
Thanks Everyone! I rescheduled for later on in the day so I would not have to miss work. I figure I will be missing enough work with IVF.
