Appliance brand recommendations

Hi! We're replacing everything and are on a pretty tight budget. I have no clue about appliance brands. Can someone please help me? We don't want to spend a ton of money but don't want poor quality stuff and headaches either. We need a fridge, stove, dw, micro and hood. Any recommendations? Thank you!

When we moved in , all appliances were Kenmore and have been going strong for many years for the previous owner and us. Not sure of their pricing though, but it sure holds up well!. Chat Icon

also, see if you can get a bundle. and Jays of Levittown always seems to have great pricing, but I never went there or have any experience with them...maybe someone here has, though.

My mother swears by her Samsung fridge. They lost power for two days during Irene but it stayed cold enough that they lost none of their food.

eta: LOVE Jay's in Levittown. We've bought our washer, dryer, grill, and TV there. Great service and prices.

if you are on a budget, you might want to look into ikea. Whirlpool actually makes all of their appliances and I have heard good things, especially from anyone who has bought recently. Good luck!

Thank you for all of your suggestions. It's crazy how many choices you have! We'll definitely check jays and ikea.

I second or third Jays appliances. Definately know the products they sell, have good prices and seem to go the extra mile for you if needed.

We bought a fridgidaire package there. We like everything except for the Fridge.

it was super noisey and the icemaker didn't work out of the box. Through dealing with Fridgeaire we got them to issue a credit to Jays so we could get a different fridge. We picked a samsung and love it.

Jays was good
samsung is good
fridgidaire, I was not happy with.

We haven't gone yet but we do plan on going there. I looked at the reviews for Ikea appliances and most were not good. I'm pretty sure the fridge we're looking at is Samsung..so that's good to here!
