Dentist??

I plan on calling my OB tomorrow, but wondering if anyone knows... part of a filling fell out & I also suspect I have another cavity elsewhere. Will I be able to go for fillings this week if I'm 39 weeks?

I imagine it will be harder to get there once the baby is born & the tooth is driving me NUTS.

All I know is that dentist dont like to do any kind of work on a woman when she is in her 1st trimester...I think from the 2nd trimester and on if you are in absolute pain they will work on you but it all depends on what your OB says. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon

I don't know about so close to your due date, but I did have dental work in my 2nd trimester of pregnancy. I had a horrible cavity in my fully-grown-in wisdom tooth, and of course part of the tooth just had to break off and expose the nerve WHILE I was pregnant! So I was in a great deal of pain.

My OBGYN said it was no problem to get dental work done. My oral surgeon required him to write a clearance letter. THey used novacane and the OB said that Tylenol 3 was safe afterwards for pain, but I just took tylenol becuase I didn't want the codene.

Speak with your OB but it might just be ok!
