metanx to folast to foltx???

so the generic is folast which i have been on for years. the pharmacy called and say they dont have it anymore and the other generic is foltx.

anyone know if htis is okay? drs and pharmacies always say generics are great but i wanted to know from others who take it! ty v much

I was on neurpath b and they discontinued that too. I never called to see if there was an alternative. I have to call and have them call something else in b/c I'm not paying $68 for Metnax which is vit b 12 and 6 and folic acid. Ill let you know if I call them tomorrow.

I got switched too. I'm guessing it's fine... I was all over my pharmacy! I know each of them personally and they know my history, so they knew how nervous I was. I meant to ask dr. B today but once the sono machine was on I forgot to ask ALL of my questions. I had to call back and leave a message w/ the front desk to have him call me and I only got to ask about my immune testing... I'm going to have to have DH remind me on Monday!

Did dr b prescribe it or did the pharmacy just give it to you?

i was specifically told to only take brand name metanx. did not know it was discountinued i actually got a refill for brand yesterday at walgreens and they gave me usual brand without any questions.

Hi, I work with Metanx. Maybe I can help? Metanx has not been discontinued. In addition to your local pharmacy, it is available through Brand Direct Health, which offers home delivery at the best price. Also, there is now a generic that is identical to the brand product, made in the same plant. It is sold by Zerxis. You may want to look into either of those options. I hope this information helps.
