Cramping ?
Is some cramping normal for 16 weeks? I have cramping in the sides. Is it just things stretching out? Also sometimes the inside of my belly feels itchy, not the skin, more like my uterus. Is this normal growing pains?

Re: Cramping ?
I had cramping at 16 weeks, I believe it's actually round ligament pain. Also I increased my water intake and the cramping calmed down a lot.

Re: Cramping ?
I've been drinking a ton. I notice that sometimes before and after I pee the cramping feels worse. Like if I really have to pee I feel more cramps.
I've had this cramping on and off for awhile now but I wasn't sure if it was normal to still have it in the second trimester.
I have a doppler and listen to every once in awhile so I think everything is okay in there, I hope It's just uncomfortable and it makes me nervous to do anything to active like clean or work out. I feel like I just want to lay down.

Re: Cramping ?
not to ask for TMI (although when you're preggo there's no such thing ) can it be possible that you have a UTI? I ask because of the cramping around when you pee. For me I had cramps all through the first trimester and I want to say until 16 weeks so what you're feeling was definitely normal for me.

Re: Cramping ?
I had that around that time. It's round ligament pain, and your body stretching to make room for baby!

When I saw the doctor about 3 weeks ago I was having almost the same type of cramping especially with the peeing and from googling I thought maybe it was a UTI but when they checked my urine it was fine. It could be possible though since the cramping does seem a little more intense now but then again so does the stretching feelings. I go back next week and they always check my urine so I'll find out if it is a UTI. I am peeing constantly but I'm drinking a ton and I'm pregnant
I just hate to call the doctor to ask if it's normal to have some cramping because I'm almost positive they are going to say as long as there is no bleeding to just relax and stay hydrated. Still I can't help but worry just a little bit.

Re: Cramping ?
If you are feeling the pain/cramping near what feels like the sides of your uterus it could be round ligament pain. I haven't had it (yet), but that's how my dr described it. He said RL pain was completely harmless to the baby.
Of course, call your dr if you're concerned, since I also got a little cramping when I had a UTI.
ETA - Since you also had it 3 wks ago and you definitely didn't have a UTI then, it's probably your round ligaments. Try to take it easy, although I was told there is nothing you can do to prevent it since it's just your body stretching, like the other ladies have said.
