Beaches Turks and Caicos Questions
So we are thinking about going Beaches T&C next spring (they are running a great 55% off promo!) but I have some questions... we are thinking about staying in the french village and getting a walk-out room (I'm assuming it has a private patio or something since it is on the first floor and they call it the "walk out" room??). I heard the french village is quieter than the italian village and we will have our child with us so I want to make sure he is able to get some sleep. Any reviews of the french village? pics? I would love to hear your thoughts on restaurants too. We would have a 1 and 1/2 year old with us on the trip so I need places that would cater to him as well. Also, what is the scene like? Is it a total mad house with kids running and screaming everywhere or is there a chance to get in some relaxation? I called to ask if we could get whole milk in the room refrig and was told that they may not have whole milk at the resort (or I would need to buy it at a convenience store) -- is this true?? is there whole milk (for DS) easily available throughout the resort? TIA!

Re: Beaches Turks and Caicos Questions
I know a ton of people LOVED Beaches Turks and Caicos, but I have to say that it was really mediocre. My main gripe with the place was the food. We did not have 1 good meal there in 5 days - I'm serious! Well, the pizza was ok, but that was about it...and the breakfasts were fine too, but the lunches and dinners were just awful! I'm not sure if your son is a good eater, but my daughter just ate noodles with butter the whole time b/c she didn't like anything else (although she is picky!). I'm not picky at all, and I had a hard time finding something that tasted decent.
We stayed in the French Village and it was just ok. The walk out rooms were on the ground level so you could walk out of the room from the back doors. That is useful if you are bringing a stroller b/c where I was, there were no elevators so we just had to carry the stroller up and down the stairs. It wasn't a huge deal b/c it was a lightweight stroller, but just something to consider. IMO, the Italian village looked much nicer, but I think it's much more expensive. The pool there was a lot nicer too, but even if you stay in the French Village, you can go to the Italian village pool. The beach in Turks in Caicos is just GORGEOUS though!
It wasn't a total madhouse there with kids running around, so you really don't have to worry about that. We didn't have any problems with noise in the room either. However, unless your husband is very hands on and willing to take your son somewhere for a few hours, I can't see you being able to relax much! We didn't relax at all and practically needed a vacation when we got home. IMO, there's never time to relax with a 2 year old!
As much as we disliked the resort and would never advise someone to go there, the activities for the kids were great - especially if your son likes Sesame Street. My daughter was 2 at the time and she loved that. The characters, however were all dirty and ratty, which was a turn off!
As for the milk, they do not have whole milk there - they only have Parmalat and my daughter would not touch the stuff. We didn't really want to leave the resort to get milk at a convenience store (i didn't like the idea of taking a cab without a carseat in a foreign place) so my daughter just didn't drink milk the whole time we were there, which was not good!
You are going to get a lot of opinions on this and I'm sure a lot of people really loved it there, but those are just my 2 cents! The problem is that there aren't many (or maybe even any!) all inclusive family resorts that have good food! I spent HOURS and HOURS researching good family resorts that are all inclusive and all I could find that seemed nice was Beaches - but it was quite $$$$!
Good luck!
