omg just booked cruise
just booked cruise with in laws and sister in law and brother in law with our kids (both under 2). were going on the 27th of this month (last minute) on the carnival miracle out of ny to bermuda. im so friggen nervous though with all these hurricanes.. anyone have any btdt advice? traveling with a 17 month old ugh im so nervous hes going to be impossible and so nervous about the weather haha. someone help calm me down...

Trust me, you'll be fine. Cruise ships are made to withstand very serious storms. That being said, they basically will avoid them at all costs. You probably won't even feel the boat moving!
ETA: And this is from someone who has cruised about 6 or 7 times! And I've done that specific cruise 3 times!

We have done a few cruises with kids. You will have a great time!!
We bring our booster seat with us for the buffet and dining rooms. That way we never have to worry about finding a high chair. Have a great trip!

I didn't go on Carnival - but we just returned on Sunday from the Celebrity Summit (out of Bayonne) to Bermuda. DH and I went with our 2 and 4 year olds and my parents. I would be more than happy to answer any general questions you have, as well as Bermuda if you would like.
We did lose one day (we left Monday rather than Sunday) due to Irene. It was actually pretty smooth going down. It was rougher coming back - but not bad either. DD#2 did have some motion sickness on the way back but not too bad.
It poured our 1st day in Bermuda so we took the ferry from King's Wharf (where do you dock?) and a taxi to the Aquarium and Zoo. It was a good rainy day activity and the girls enjoyed it.
The next day the morning weather didn't start out great (very overcast) so we didn't want to go far. It turned out to be beautiful - but we ended up walking over to Snorkel park and had it almost to ourselves for about 2 hours. It was great. Very smooth water, didn't need the water shoes we heard you would need for that beach. It was a good place to take the girls b.c they could comfortably swim and see the bottom.
We spent our last day at Horseshoe Bay. It was very windy and really rough but there is a beautiful cove right next to the beach and there were lots of families swimming there. The girls really enjoyed it. I highly recommend checking it out.

Just came back from a cruise on the Miracle WE went to Grand Turk and the Bahamas
We LOVED it. Our 3 year old loved it!! They had daycare which he LOVED. The girls there were SO great. Had lots to do He loved exploring the ship and ne knew where every ice cream machine was!!
We had 1 day of rough sea beacause of Hurricane Katia I took dramamine and it was fine..my son didnt even notice it
