Cycle after Clomid

I’ve been on clomid for 4 consecutive cycles, progressively increasing dosage each time. This month is my first clomid free cycle (on a break, next step IVF). I’ve noticed that I have a lot of spotting. Just wondering if anyone else has experience a wacky cycle after taking clomid.

i dont have experience, but i feel like anything that changes your cycle while you are on it is bound to have effects on non-medicated cycles.

just out of curiosity, (if you don't mind sharing) why are you going from clomid straight to IVF??

I did 3 cycles of clomid + IUI. Unfortunately it didn't work. My RE gave me 2 options, IUI with injectables or IVF. She did say being that my husband has morphology issues, IUI may still not work cause his sperm will still have a problem fertilizing my egg.

So I'm going with ivf as my next step. However I'm nervous and feeling defeated so I decided to take a break. I need to go into ivf feeling optimistic and currently I don't.

Any suggestions/advice?
