Going to Barbados next month
DH and I will be taking our first "real" trip aline since having kids. We'll be staying at an all inclusive called Waves for a long weekend- Friday to Monday. It will also be our 7th anniversary while we're there. For those who have been there before, would it be worth it to make reservations at The Tides for our anniversary night or should I save the money and just eat at the resort?

We went to Barbados back in 06'. Loved it and The Tides is totally worth the money. Fantastic food, wonderful ambience. Get out of the hotel. Rent a car. It's a gorgeous country and the people are fabulous. Have fun!

How much can I expect to spend on dinner, around $200?

That sounds about right. It of course depends on what you order. Drinks, wine, lobster, ect.

Two weeks ago tonight, I was eating at The Tides Totally worth it, food was delicious, ambiance was great. DH & I each had a mojito, appetizer, entree, and we shared a bottle of Pelligrino and a dessert - tab was $200 (includes 10% service charge). If you go there, do not pass up the Little Toffee Sticky Pudding Cake for dessert - hands down the best dessert we've ever had!
If you need any more restaurant suggestions, let me know.
