Hi! Crashing this board with a gyno question...
I'm not pregnant, or even TTC. We probably will TTC in a year or two. But I have to choose a gynecologist, because I am due for my first annual exam since moving to NY.
I live in Forest Hills now, but don't plan on staying here in the long term. When we buy a house, it will probably be in Nassau (but not definite). I love Great Neck, but who knows...should I try to find a doctor in my current area and change over when I move? Or should I try to find a doctor near where I think I will be, and affiliated with a hospital I where I would want to give birth?
I guess I am asking if I should take into consideration my future plans when finding a gynecologist now. It's hard because my future plans aren't really set. Do you have any thoughts on this?
Thanks

I would just find a dr in your current area for now. You have a while and since you dont know exactly where you will be and a lot can change, I would suggest waiting until you buy your house to switch drs. Good luck

I would find a doctor in your current area and when you think you are ready to start TTC,go with one that will practice in the hospital you want to deliver. Unless you move before then of course.
I go to a great OB/GYN in Rego Park if you're interested.

I'd love a rec. I prefer female. Thanks!
