Am I just overreacting???

So yesterday I had posted how I had a little spotting. To make myself feel better I called the new dr. I was going to see and left a message with the secretary. She said she would have the dr. call me back. All day yesterday I waited for the call and never heard from the dr. I was a little bothered by this. Thank goodness the spotting has stopped.

I have an appt. with a different dr. next week which I was going to cancel to see this new dr. in an office that was highly recommended but now after my experience I'm thinking I should just keep my appt. for next week and not bother going to see this other dr.

This is my first pregnancy so I don't know if it's hard to get in contacts with drs. I wasn't even trying to come in and see her. I just wanted some reassurance over the phone. If I'm overreacting over this please tell me. I won't be offended. If you made it this far thanks for reading Chat Icon

I don't think you are overracting (but this is bc I spotted early on so I know how scared you must have been). The only thing that I can tell you is that if this is a new doctor for you, maybe you are not in their records and that's why no one called you back. I know for *me* when it happened my OB had me come in just to make sure everything was ok. You need to feel super comfortable with your OB as you will be seeing them a lot and they will be giving you peace of mind to tons of questions throughout the pregnancy.

I am happy that the spotting stopped Chat Icon

Re: Am I just overreacting???

this new have u been into office yet? If not might be reason no call back. I had pain and couldn't get into new office until week later, so I went and saw my old ob bc they have seen me before so were willing to get me in the next day. Telling u this just to show u that when new pt and have problem not all will get u in or talk with u, so would keep both apts see how new Dr is in person. Address what happened to doctor and see what reaction is. If you don't like reaction and not happy with then continue with old Dr, and continue to search for one you are totally happy with. Hope that helps.

I can see how they wouldn't have my information since I am a new patient but I did leave my name and phone number and she was able to pull up my appt. But I guess it just really bothered me that I didn't get a call back.

Thanks. I think I will keep both appts and see which dr. makes me feels comfortable. Chat Icon
