Paint color help, please!

so... we just got ugly paneling removed from our living room walls, and replaced with drywall. NOW, we need to pick paint colors.
heres some pics of the room now. any ideas?? i'm thinking of a beige/neutral on 3 of the walls, and then a color on the one big open wall (not the one with the fireplace). if it helps, our couch is beige, and the other rooms in our house are "warm" colors... a sagey green in our bedroom, a warm yellow in the kitchen, a warm beige in the second bedroom...
our painter likes to work with BM paints...

I would do a taupe/gray in that living room. Looks like the room gets a lot of light so you could go with a medium gray color. I'm not a fan of accent walls.

BM Smokey Taupe (my favorite BM color, we paintd our foyer this color)


These swatches aren't 100% true to color... just search those colors on google and you'll find rooms painted those colors. And get samples from BM, paint little squares next to the light and see waht you like the best.

I'm with Camacho with using a taupe/gray color. I would also paint those beams white! What a beautiful room!

I know you said you wanted tan, but I have a similar kinda room and I used BM Dry Sage and I get so many compliments. It's a green color. Just a thought..
