I had an appt for people to come at 630. Its now 7. These were the same people that had wanted to come during the hurricane. When would you say..they aren't coming??? I'm stalling giving DD her bath etc.

1 hour later is fair to say they are not coming. 30 minutes is a little too soon.

Re: so when do u consider someone a NO SHOW to a house showng
I assume they came with an agent, and I hope their agent was apologetic. She should have called to let you know that they were running late, although if it were that late, your listing office may have been closed already. But if they were running that late, the agent should have stopped by and let you know the situation and asked if they could come back later.
I agree that it's very rude and inconsiderate. Sometimes there may be traffic or something that would make people run a little late, but that is crazy late. From an agent's persepctive, I HATE when I line up mulitple homes to be seen and then the buyers show up late, without a care in the world, not realizing that it just destroyed our schedule and that (unless a house is vacant) REAL people are waiting for us to show up at a designated time or window of time. So frustrating and stressful! You should complain to your listing agent, and she will probably take it up with the showing agent.
But there are a lot of inconveniences that come with having your home on the market, as you well know. And if those rude people (and weird - they wanted to come during the hurricane???) want to buy your house and made a good offer, I would still take it in a heartbeat. If you don't have to like the people who buy your house, it doesn't really matter! ETA - So if I were you, I would still have let them see it when they showed up (but after an hour, I would have assumed they were not coming.)
But sorry that you are experiencing all of the frustrations of real estate!

Yea I let them see it of course! I do want to sell and I am not that balsy to say NO... But when I said to the showing agent that they were over an hour late she said she asked for a 7pm appt. (it was 7:40 anyway). Oh well. I dropped it then. The buyers were like "oh sorry" it was strange.
Truthfully I wouldnt have cared during the day just gets annoying at night.
Oh well...lets hope these people come with a good offer now!!!
eTA: I had called my listing agent at 730 and he had tried to reach the showing agent and couldnt reach her....So thats why by that time I said they are not coming.
Yea. these people called the day of the hurricane (sat) so come at 6 that night....ummmm evacuation.....! lol

Re: so when do u consider someone a NO SHOW to a house showng
We had people who came 3 hours later once--I waited all morning to shower, and of course the minute I went in the shower, they arrived. DH told them they couldn't see the bathroom, but I would be done in 10 minutes. They couldn't wait and left in a big huff.
Some people are such flakes.
