Help w Follistim and my lack of power!

I am posting from my phone. We still don't have power and I just realized all my Follistim is in my fridge. I am supposed to start it tonight. Its probably cool in there but not cold like its supposed to be, am I okay to inject tonight?

Should I get the rest on ice?

Thanks!

I know that for gonal, once its not in the fridge, it has to be used within 90 days. As long as it's the same for follistim, you are FINE for this cycle, just make sure the rest is used within 90 days. Hopefully this is a sign that you won't even need the rest!!Chat Icon Chat Icon

Sorry about not having your power back yet!! I can't even imagine how frustrating that is to be out for this long!

Thanks for replying!

I know I have a lot to be thankful for that my house is fine, no flooding...but it is really miserable at this point.

The little bits of tv I've caught though that show nj and vt make me feel like a brat for complaining. But I really miss watching tv!

Oh believe me I know how it is... We didn't have power for 48hrs and I thought THAT was bad Chat Icon It's all what you're used to ... If you are used to hanging out in front of the TV and going on LIF, then if you can't do it, it can be pretty depressing!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Sure it could be worse.. and I know how thankful you must be that there wasn't damage done to your house (mine either, thankfully!) but that doesn't take away from the fact that not having power for this long STINKS!!!!!!!

I believe that follistim only needs to be refrigerated once it is opened. Mine was never shipped cold.

It was like 11pm and so Dr. B's office was closed. I guess I can check today.

By the way I always ice before follistim and it never hurts, last night I realized I have no ice obviously, so I had to just inject. Well it kind of hurt and stung for a while. Icing is so much better!
