Teething biscuts
Which one do you use?
I am having trouble believing she won't get off small pieces and choke.

Re: Teething biscuts
i think the ones i use are gerber? or beechnut.. i let him suck on it and lick it till it gets really mushy, then i take it away. I dont trust the small mushy pieces.

Re: Teething biscuts
my lamaze instructor said NO teething biscuts (I tried them anyway - pcs. broke off and she choked).
If you want something good for teething try frozen peaches, or teething biscuts in the safety nets.

Re: Teething biscuts
we are using the ones by Gerber, but as soon as the cookie gets to mushy or little pieces start to come off, I take it away. My son has a huge issue with chocking. I can't seem to give this kid anything that isn't puree and he is 8 months old.

Earths Best Barley. They don't break too easily but we usually watch her when she eats them.

Re: Teething biscuts
I was worried about choking also, but I am now a firm believer that babies have to choke and splutter on their food in order for them to learn to swallow properly.

I gave Caiden those once and he did brake pieces off and did start to choke. Let's just say mommy freaked and he never had another one!

Re: Teething biscuts
I never really used them much. We got the bitter biscuits but they broke apart too easily so I would sometimes give them to her in the safety net but for the most part she got frozen bananas in the net and that was our "teething" food.

Re: Teething biscuts
zwieback toast..he has no problem with it..when it gets mushy he eats it and it keeps him entertained during dinnertime.. at times he does throw it on the floor so it doubles as the dogs treat too
