I'm going to annoy you all with my endless party questions!

Sorry I know, another post about my BBQ. As I mentioned, this is our first BIG party at our new house. I want everything to run as smoothly as possible.

So far our updated list consists of:

-Appetizers: spinach dip, buffalo dip, chips, hummus with veggies & pitas (still working on 1 or 2 more things)
-Chicken franchaise
-Sausage and peppers
-Hot dog "bar"- (hot dogs with toppings such as chili, german sauerkrat, etc)
-Burgers
-Chicken ceasar salad
-shish kebobs
-crab cakes
-cornbread
-assorted salads
-coleslaw
-kraft mac n cheese (for the kids but making extra boxes cuz the adults always go for some too!)
-Dessert (rice pudding, fruit salad, cookies and cupcakes)

So....if we're expecting around 50 people and have all this food, how many burgers and hot dogs do you think would work?

Also, any ideas for any more appetizers or something I can put out earlier on?

Thanks!!

More questions may come lol. Party is Sunday and I'm slightly overwhelmed already!

We usually get 1.5 times the amount of people for burgers and hot dogs, and we usually wind up with extra. Still though, we continue to get that amount because you just never know. So if I were you, I'd get 75 burgers and 75 hot dogs, but I'm sure you could get away with 60 of each.

I think you have enough food, but if you want another appetizer you could do bruschetta. I always make it for summer bar-b-ques and it goes pretty quick.

Not sure about how many hamburgers and hotdogs though, i would guess one for each person, but I'm sure there is someone who knows better than me.

Also, if you were planning on making the hamburgers, cheeseburgers for some remember to buy enough cheese. We didn't at the last bar-b-que and asked one of the latecomers to pick some up for us on the way over.

50 burgers and 50 dogs is what I would do.

Not each person will eat one of each.

Thanks everyone!! I'm thinking we'll go with somewhere between 50-60 burgers and same amount of dogs.

I like the bruschetta idea- do you by any chance know of a good recipe?
