Do I call a roofer for this?

My basement has leaks everytime we get a strong wind driven rain. We are pretty sure the water is getting in around our skylight and running down a ceiling beam & dripping into the basement. We need to tar around the skylight & vents on the roof...my DH is not going to do it himself even though it's an easy fix!

Who do we call? A roofer?? Any recs??

We had a problem with our windows in our Cape (on roof), think something to do with the flashing. We had a hard time finding a roofing company to do such a small job. You could call a roofing company and see what they say. We did find a company but most of them did not want to do it, they said call a handyman.

yes i would call a roofer. we had a ceiling leak during the last big rainstorm and we called a roofer and they came and repaired shingles and sealed the vents.. so far so good since during the hurricane we have no leaks... we used nassau roofers, 516-785-roof

It is an easy fix! My DH just did this because we had a leak around the vent pipe through the roof.

He used some tar/patch thing from Lowes. It was like cake frosting.

It worked! Price it out...if not try to convince DH!
