I actually don't mind being at work on days like this my job is FREEZING!!! The walk to my car was a bit long and it's so hard to breathe, but I made it!
I thankfully have central air and a pool...although neither feel all the cool in such hot weather.

Thanks for thinking of us
I have to say, it's been ROUGH. I commute into NYC via Metro North, and the train ride itself is not too bad (usuallly the trains are nice and cool) For me, it's the 10 block walk to/from the train station to my office that stinks  I just take my time, keep my water bottle with me and know that it'll be over soon 
Other than that 1/2 hr I'm outside, I stay put in the AC both at work and home allll day!

I swam in my parents pool and came home to my Central Air. However, I hardly feel it. Its so muggy out

I'm lucky that I'm not working! I've been staying out of the heat, hanging out in the AC, and going in my sister's pool.

I too commute into the city. It's rough b/c I have to take the Path train and be underground- it's pretty hot waiting for the train, but I just try to breathe and drink water.

I try to get out and run my errands in the morning and then stay in the AC the rest of the day. I try to go to my friend's pool whenever I can.

Im so thankful that Im not working or going anywhere.
So lately we've been in the pool most of the day, in and out, from AC to pool. and its still HOTTTT

The A/C in my office did not handle yesterday well and it was up to 85 in here by noon. I told them if it happens again today, I'm leaving. (I didn't tell them I was going to the beach though

Dh and I agreed that I am safer driving into work each day  Only have a block walk instead of a 10 block walk.
I normally take the PATH to the city then walk from the WTC to Wall Street (all the way that the end though, by south street). My office is so cold that I actually have to put on the space heater but other than that, I am doing OK!

If it wasn't for waiting for the bus and subway for long periods of time, it wouldn't be so bad. Yesterday, both of the busses that I took home didn't have A/C And, the first ride, which is like 20 minutes, nobody gave me a seat.

Lots of hugs for the pg ladies it's brutal out.
Please please please up that water intake if you will be outside commuting, etc.
Not to scare anyone, I don't know if this was on the news in NY, but a woman who was 7 months pg, died at a Red Sox game on Saturday because of the heat, she had heatstroke and collapsed. The baby survived, I was crying last night at this newscast, I coudln't even imagine what this family is going through right now.

Felicia, I couldn't even imagine having to walk 10 blocks in this heat....my heart goes out to you!! I complain about having to walk through the parking lot at work with my laptop and case!!!!! Stay cool and hydrated.
