Is everyone OK?
I hope and pray that all of you girls and your DHs, children, and families are safe. This is sooooo scary! Still have power here in Huntington, thank God!

I woke up about an hour ago and haven't been able to get back to sleep. Other than that though, we're all doing just fine here! Apparently, we must have lost power briefly about 4 hours ago, because our clocks are flashing. My husband, son, dogs, cat, and I are all sleeping on the first floor rather than in our bedrooms and everyone seems to be doing just fine! Apparently, for our town (Glenwood Landing), the storm is supposed to peak around 11am. Only a few more hours to go and it doesn't look bad at all out there! Hope everyone else is doing well!!

@ SB hospital, they woke us up at 5:30am to ask if we wanted to sit in the halls (away from the windows) because of the tornado warning. 15 minutes later it was over. I figured I would start my day anyway...
Waiting to har from DD to see if the house still has power.

Wow! Im at the hospital too (not sb) we've had lights flicker and fire alarms go off, but everything seems quiet other than that. I feel bad, they aren't letting the staff leave.
I feel so bad being separated from dh and kids...
Thinking about how dava is doing!

i'm much better now... i was home alone (dh went to work at 2:30am) with no power and sweating my arse off (and scared sh!tless holed up in the basement where water was seeping in)... but my dad came to get me a little while ago (they live in the same town) and now i'm in their apt with power and a/c. worried about DH though.

We are holding up ok also. Not too bad here but some down trees and power lines. a LOT of wind and a little rain otherwise nothing to serious. We are on the south shore about a mile or 2 from the water and no flooding yet either. Thank god we still have power :)

All is well here in North Queens--strong winds but we still have power, slept through it all!

ll is fine in eastern long island. still have power, it flickered during the night because I woke up to the clocks blinking.
there's branches and leaves everywhere outside my window.

Slept in the livingroom my neck hurts. Lost power around 230am. My Fil is being a PITA! He follows my dh and i around the house. I have cabin fever and am about to take a risk and hang out upstairs just for some privacy.

We lost power at about 7am. 2 trees down in yard but only fence I'd trashed. We already made a run to 7 11 home. Depot and Lowes....got a chainsaw and are starting the cleanup

Neighbor's oak tree fell in our front lawn, a huge branch crashed through our roof and into our dining room. Our portico we put up in December is demolished, new roof pretty badly messed up. Windows broken, driveway ripped up from tree roots...but none of that is as important as the fact that we are ok...its just a house. Staying with my SIL. Hope everyone else is ok!!
