Like a riding boot, does that mean it doesn't fit, or it's the quality of the leather?

I've been looking for a pair of riding boots, but can't seem t find a pair that look right on. They often look so buckled around where you bend your ankle.

Is it the fit or the quality?

I don't have wide calves & I'm 5'8" so they aren't too tall.
