another ivf question
this is my coverage..
about how much is 25% co insurance
Your policy will follow the New York State Mandate in regards to infertility services. You are covered for unlimited intrauterine inseminations with no prior authorizations required, and will be covered 100% of the GHI allowance. You also have coverage for in-vitro fertilization, prior authorization is required and you have a coinsurance of 25% in addition to applicable copays for in-network providers. In-vitro fertilization is limited to 3 cycles per lifetime. If you use a non-participating provider for in-vitro fertilization you also are subject to your $200 deductible.
i am a idiot when it comes to this
thank you

Re: another ivf question
I think it means 25% of the total which is around $10-12K

Re: another ivf question
I think this is what I have... I had to pay 25%, GHI paid the other 75%. If that's right, then I paid about $1,500 for the actual IVF plus anesthesia, co-pays for meds, etc.

This was me too!!!
Also it's extra if you need ICSI, assisted hatching, etc.
I actually think it's pretty decent coverage even though it still does feel like you are paying a lot. I just remind myself how much more I'd be paying otherwise

This is what I have also, does anyone have an approximate of the TOTAL cost over and above the $1500? Also, do you owe the $1500 to the Dr or the Ins co? Thanks!!!
