my first of many IVF questions

So after my appt with Dr.B today we had a ncie talk lol..

he could not even find my ovaries today lol..he has told me i have the farthest apart ones he has ever seen and today my intestines were blocking so he switched from internal sono to external

one lone follie..measuring 20..trigegring tomorrow..

so after i asked him why is this not working

he really thinks it has to do where my ovaries are actually located and it is not going down my tubes like they should

he said this will be my last iui and if it does not work we go to ivf

here is my first question..i just wanna get a head start so i am not shocked by the amount of money

my ins will not cover any fertility meds..besides the ones i take what are the other meds usually used with ivf and anyone have a ballpark of how much they cost oop

i am on metformin,lovenox,baby asprin,syntheroid,metnax,dexamethasone,endometerin,femara,gonal and ovidrel and some vitamins

Depending on what he uses for your protocol, you may also need menopur or luveris, pio, vivelle patches, e2v supps.. maybe someone else can think of others that may be needed... Of those, I think the vivelle and the pio are the most costly out of pocket.

One thing I will tell you is that if it does ultimately come to IVF, it's totally manageable and not scary once you are actually in the process.
