Sandals Whitehouse where to stay?
Having a hard time choosing the location of the room.
Italian, Dutch or French?
The French seems so far away from the main stuff.

I have a document that might help. It goes into quite a bit more detail on the room categories and the suites. And, I could always email Kevin Clarke, the Hotel Manager or Glendon Lowe, the on site Sales Manager if you had any specific questions.

that would be very cool! I leave Sat.
My travel agent says they are really connected to the resort and have requested VIP treatment for us.
I don't know if it's a PIA to have me email them too.

Re: Sandals Whitehouse where to stay?-updated with mini review
We ended up in the Dutch village. I think it was a perfect spot. We had the most amazing view of the sunset.
The Dutch pool was very quiet and we loved it. We spent the most time there and then went to the French area for a few times to play pool volleyball.
Spent the least time at the main pool by the Italian Village. That was were all of the action was but we were looking for a low key vacation. Last day we spent at the beach all day under a hut. NICE!
I liked the entertainment. The food was disappointing. Really just ok but we didn't starve so it wasn't terrible.
The service lacked. We had been to many other sandals and had seen better. Overall a very nice relaxing vacation with the best views and the private beach where you see nothing for miles. I think that was the best part.
We had abysmal water pressure the whole time and was told twice it would be fixed and it wasn't.
We are returning guests so they upgraded us, gave us some discounts in the shops and had a welcome back dinner. They gave us a bottle of rum that we didn't take home for fear our luggage would be too heavy.
The rooms were small and they really only have two kinds of rooms. The regular room which is the basic room even if you book concierge. The only time the rooms get bigger and better is with butler service and that was out of our budget. All rooms are ocean view and what a view it was.
Hard sell on coming back to another sandals but they say the discounts are 65%. I seem to think I could do just as well booking through my agent.
The resort is off the beaten path and I found out that since it's so far away from everything it's hard to get the caliber employee they usually like to get. Most senior staff live on premises in apartments at the entrance. Two employees I spoke to live 3.5 hours away and have small kids that they see every 10 days or so. One of the managers, Jason, was on loan from Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios. (3-4 hours away)
The spa was fabulous. I highly recommend the hot stone massage.
We heard that they are building a new golf course on property or near property. This should complete Whitehouse and I think you will see other upgrades.
If anyone is considering Sandals Whitehouse I still highly recommend it.
Our next one may be Sandals Negril. Same chill atmosphere and since we haven't been to Negril I would like to give it a try.
Note: Bring your sunscreen. The gift shop and the resort shop charge upwards of $25 for a bottle. We had enough thankfully.

Re: Sandals Whitehouse where to stay?
Excellent review - thanks for posting it.
I think you will like Sandals Negril. I was just there in July and I like all the improvements they have made. They just started up beachside drink service for everyone so now if you dont want to get up from your lounger because your in the middle of a great chapter in your book....you dont have to!!
Jeffrey Burke is the Senior Sales Manager on site and he does a great job down there....gets us anything we need!!
And, the Scuba Team is outstanding too. I had a great time going out with them. On the way out to the dive site, a Dolphin was swimming with us beside the boat. Love that area!!

Re: Sandals Whitehouse where to stay?
That's what I miss from Royal Plantation. That place was awesome. Drink service on the beach or poolside. I think service overall makes or breaks the vacation.
Also, we didn't have a drop of rain to spoil the week. Lucky I say in the middle of hurricane season.
