Help please...
So I'm into my second week of taking the lovenox shots. It's getting harder and harder to do (and found out yesterday I need to do it 2X a day). I've stuck myself about 4 times and I can't bring myself to do it again. What can I do to get over it. I've tried another 5 times and freeze...and my belly looks like a mess!

Do you ice first? That helps me. I'm not a fan of injecting ANY shots before icing (and yes that includes PIO  )
I was also reading someplace (and considered asking my dr if he thought it would be worth it) someone injects the lovenox into an empty vial and then draws it up with an insulin syringe to inject. She said her bruises are like quarter size rather than the huge ones I seem to get. I'm on lovenox 2x a day also. It stinks. Hang in there!

def ice first. also inject very slow. the faster you go the more it burns and bruises.

I wasn't having issues after i poked myself with the needle. It was the initial poke...I managed to do it finally. Thanks

It was the anxiety of it. When I did the first attempt I wasn't able to get the needle in far enough so I tried it again and again and again. By that time I was so worked up I couldn't do it, waited an hour and then slowly pushed in the needle (probably not the best way but worked).
Hopefully tonight's injection will be easier.
