First hurricane in our new house...and we're going away!
We're going upstate this weekend when Irene is supposed to hit. Since we will not be here I'm just a little worried about something happening to our house. DH is going to empty our pool a little bit so it won't overflow. Any other precautions we should take?

just make sure that everything is put away (chairs, umbrellas, etc.) and/or tied down.. you can go ahead and tape the windows if you want to as well..
