Mold analysis
Hi all - so, DH and I had an inspection this past weekend and the inspector found a small patch of mold inside the utility room in the basement (where the boiler, hot water heater, and CAC unit is). Its such a small patch we were going let the seller just remove the drywall and replace it; however, now I'm thinking it might be best to do a mold analysis to be sure this isn't indicative of a larger issue.
Has anyone had this done before? What does it entail? Who might you recommend?

I don't have recco's but I would absloutley have it done. Mold can be tricky and is very dangerous and can be hard and expensive to get rid of. I would want to know where the moisture is coming from that is causing the mold.

we were concerned about having mold in our basement after it flooded a few times. i highly recommend having someone come and check out the place. the company we used came out for the day, took a few samples, did air sampling and sent us a report within a week or so. definitely gave us peace of mind. they were very reasonably priced too. let me know if you want their info.
