Roller coaster
I don't know what to think.
When I went for my 1st beta last Monday (4 weeks), it was 81. When I saw my Dr. Wed., she said she likes for the number to be over 100 so she was a little worried. That day it was 143.
Friday I saw a different dr. I told him I was super worried about my numbers and he seemed totally not worried and said 143 was close enough to doubling. When he did the u/s he said everything looked perfect. That day was 286. Felt relieved.
Today saw original dr. for my 5 week appt. She told me she's worried about the numbers and doesn't know if it will be a viable pregnancy. She saw a sac on the u/s, which I thought was a good sign, but she didn't seem to be very hopeful. I left devastated. They just called and today is 885. I go back Monday for another u/s to check for heartbeat.
I don't understand how one dr. could be so positive and the other could be so worried. I'm so confused and scared.

Re: Roller coaster
All I can say is that my first beta didn't double either - went from 226 to 400. But when they told me the #s, I was horrified, but they said it was "close enough" to doubling. I am now 15 wks along. I think that if you saw a sac, then that is a great sign!!!

Re: Roller coaster
I know it's impossible, but try to stay somewhat optimistic.
I'll be thinking about you and hoping things go well!

Re: Roller coaster
I don't know - from everything I see online, I don't think those numbers look too low - and they are more than doubling every 48 hours now.
stay hopeful!!!

Re: Roller coaster
Thanks, girls.
I keep going back and forth. I read that stuff online too, and that makes me hopeful. But then again, don't I trust my dr. more than google??? But then there was the dr. Friday that was optimistic....
I'm just so scared.
Thanks so much for the support. You really are the only ones that get it.

Re: Roller coaster
I think that at 5w on the dot the fact that there was a sac is a good sign! Don't know why your doc is such a pessimist! Try and stay positive!
