And I'm so glad we did. If you're on the fence, I'd say definitey do it. The instructor was great, and she touched upon a bit of everything. Even if you feel like you know everything you need to know, you'll still take something away from it. For example, my DH has seen the birthing videos more times than he cares to count, and knows how to deliver a baby if he needs to (he's a cop). So all of the medical stuff, he knew. What he really took away from the class was how to be supportive of me and encouraging throughout the process, and how to be best prepared to deal with anything that may arise. I could tell him a million times that he has to be supportive and do X, Y and Z, but honestly - hearing it from a nurse in an instructional setting carries much more weight Chat Icon

I will admit I'm a little more nervous about the whole thing now (I had been sort of ignoring the impending reality) and am second guessing whether I will take an epidural (DH is not so comfortable with it anymore either). But I'd rather be prepared and be a little scared, than get to the hospital not knowing what the hell is going on with my body.

Anyway, definitely recommend this class and HTH someone! Chat Icon
