I'm a little concerned...
I am 38 wks and on Tuesday the baby was measuring 8 pds 2 ounces. I'm still not dialted or effaced. I am getting concerned about the baby's weight. Do you think that is big?

Growth sonos are often wrong. You really don't know how big the baby is for sure and just because you are not dilated or effaced today, doesn't mean you won't be tomorrow. I am sure I would also be a little concerned about the baby being big, but you really just don't know for sure until the baby is born, so try not to worry. Good luck!

ITA! And if your doctor isn't concerned about it, I would think you don't need to be either!

Re: I'm a little concerned...
I was concerned also when they said my was 7lbs @ 35 weeks but I wound up giving birth a week later & she was 6.8 lbs. They aren't always accurate with the weight so don't worry about it I know it's easy to say looking back) but try not to be concerned & focus on a quick labor & healthy baby

My first dx they told me was 8 lbs with sono then when born she was 7lb. Heard from lots of people their last sono also said more than baby actually was.

I agree. I had a growth sono the day I went in to labor. The sono estimated my ds to be over 8lbs. I delivered my 6lbs 15oz ds less than 24 hours later. I also was only 1-2cm at that appt. Things can change very quickly!
