Safe to cook or toss?

My gut says toss it, but I want to double check because it's grassfed beef Chat Icon I took ground beef out on Wed morning to defrost, it was on my kitchen counter for probably 4 hours, then I put it in the fridge to defrost the rest of the way. Is it safe to cook or should I throw it out? Our plans changed and we had DH's parents over so we just ordered pizza. I hate food going to waste!

I'd cook it as long as it still smells and looks okay. It's only been 2 days since it's defrosted it should be fine. I wouldn't go past today though.

Go by smell, not color. You will know if its bad once you open and smell.
