Did anyone go to Impact for 3d/4d sono?
So our DS covered his face during our growth sono. Also the tech did not seem uber interested in doing the 3d pics although the doctor told us we could pay $50 to have them done....
Anyway Dh and I really would like to have the 3d pics but are worried the baby may be uncooperative again...
Did anyone go to Impact for these pics? What was your experience like? TY

I haven't but I swear I read that after a certain point in pregnancy it's not worth it to go because the chances of getting a good shot are less. I may be wrong... but just wanted to throw that out there so you can make sure before you spend money on it...

You can always call to get information. We did Womb Pics with DS and he didn't cooperate the first time. They let us come back the following week for no additional charge and got great pics of him.

I used impact for my first and womb pics with this pregnancy. Womb pics is a nicer place inside, but the people at impact spent more time with the sono.
They say optimal time is 28 to 32 weeks.

Re: Did anyone go to Impact for 3d/4d sono?
I got AMAZING pics at Impact at 33 weeks. I had planned to go earlier but when I went the first time for the 2 pack I bought DS was uncooperative and then we went on vacation for 2 weeks. So, the second visit ended up being pushed a few weeks later than originally planned (so I could have a better spread between the 2).

We went to impact when I was pregnant w/ the boys. The place is kind of sketchy....okay....super sketchy.......but we got great pics of the boys. Now when I look at the pics, I can totally see Hunter and Georgie's little faces.

now what do we mean by sketchy? DH is totally going to make me leave if it seems weird there and thinks they will "hurt the baby" somehow

I thought I was the only one who thought it was sketchy because no one else mentioned it. It wasn't bad but it just seemed a little unconventional or something. It's a husband doing the sonogram, the wife at the desk & their son was in the back room eating lunch that must have had a lot of curry in it because I smelled it from outside the door. But they were really nice & the place was clean. We also got great pictures because they took a lot of time with you. I think it was worth it.

It is in an old building. A/c in the hallway didn't work. It was kind of weird. But once you got into the actual office, it was nice.. I had one done with DS and it was great. I won a contest on here and won an awesome package. They were very nice and did so much to get the bet views of DS..

What did you think was sketchy about it? It is an office in a big office building with a waiting/reception area, a viewing room for family, and a sono room. I've been to three different places (bc I got gift certs as gifts throughout my 2 pregs) and all three looked the same.
ETA- I just read the other posts. Again, it's just a small business- two out of the three I went to were "family" run. I didn't really think the building was run down /old like described- it was a pretty typical office building for LI- not much different from my Dr. or accountant. I guess I'm just surprised to hear that.
As far as possibly hurting the baby- imo no way but regardless ALL these sono techs do is take a short course- it's not like being a Dr. or nurse. The guy at Impact actually seemed a lot more experienced than most of the techs I've had at the OB or hospital.

I thought it was sketchy too...IMO, looked like the were doing something illegal in there!
With that being said.....they were very nice and knew exactly what they were doing. I left very happy
