Can't stop crying night before C-Section!
What is wrong with me?!?!?!
DH is so happy and excited and I just ruined the mood. He's all happy about seeing our baby boy and I can't focus on anything positive.
I feel overwhelmed and worried about everything from how our lives are about to change to how I'm going to put up with not being able to eat anything to how everyone keeps asking who/when they can visit to the actual surgery to DH having to leave me in the hospital to knowing I won't be "pregnant" anymore.
Why can't I truly focus on the one positive thing - that I'm having my baby boy tomorrow! DH totally is and I ruined his happiness, which is also making me cry. 
I'm an emotional wreck!

Damn these hormones, right? I imagine I'll probably be crying the whole way to the hospital...

I think it's natural to be scared because it is something you haven't been through before and the unknown is scary sometimes. I have been there and I can tell you that once you are in the OR and are about to meet your LO, every fear goes out the window! You are about to hold this little baby that you helped create! It's amazing

I am having some of your anxieties as well. I think it is normal - a lot is going to happen tomorrow. l think it sounds normal to be going through those emotions. Try to get your rest tonight!!!

ITA with all of this! (except I didn't have a c-section). It's so natural for you to feel totally scared and panicked, even. It's all new and unknown territory for you! Just try to focus on how close you are to meeting that amazing little miracle of a boy that YOU helped create!! All the scary stuff will be behind you before you know it and you'll be holding that little miracle in your arms! Sending lots of and  your way for tomorrow that all goes smoothly! Can't wait to hear your news that your little boy is here!

A lot is anxiety of the unknown. C/s...caring for a child...etc.almost like going to a test that you haven't studied for.

Thank you all so much.
I feel like I'm letting down my DH AND baby by not being happy right now.
I really pray to God that - as upset as I am right now - that I do a 180 and am absolutely elated after holding my baby boy tomorrow.
I can't even fathom it at this point, which I think is why I can't picture or imagine the happiness. Plus, that little "surgery" that is in my way...
Thank you for making me feel better. I'm going to TRY to sleep now...

It is 100% normal to have those feelings. I had an emergency c/s and a repeat c/s. I was totally scared about everything.
The best advice I can give is have a plan but go with the flow.
Remember to have DH keep the camera with him and bring it into the OR for those first photos. I had DH sing 99 bottles of beer to me both times. We got to about 70. It was the ability to focus on his voice and drown everything else out and be in the moment for me. I can still recall every detail about the OR down to the tiles on the walls. It will change and be exciting at the same time. You will be a great mom and he will be a great dad. You have a ton of hormones pumping through you.
After the baby is out - I had DH go with the baby. Then he brought my DCs to me in the recovery room. I find that there are no nurses available to do that for you. Also, tell DH your family can all wait. He needs to focus on you and the baby. They will all get their moment to see the baby.
I would also say that try to walk as soon as you can. It will help with recovery immensely. Good luck!

Aww, it is nerves. I know it is easier said than done, but try to relax and spend your last few hours alone with your hubby, just the two of you. Tomorrow starts your new life as a family of three. Sure its all scary now, but by the time that little guy comes out screaming tomorrow, all the things you wrote in your post with be a distant memory and you with be beaming with joy. By tomorrow you won't care who comes when, what you'll eat and honestly probably won't even care if hubby goes home....My favorite and most precious moments were being in the hospital for 4 days after my c-section, just me and my babies, nobody else around at 2 in the morning but me and my babies was the best bonding and most precious time I ever had with them. Try to enjoy it all. Your new journey begins tomorrow and it will be one of the most amazing times of your life!! Lots of Luck and COngratulations!!!

ITA with everything.
I had all the same fears because I had no control & no idea what to expect. I was a mess! Its good youre processing it now I'm telling you, everything you're feeling is normal & ok. Adrenaline will Kick in & once you're prepped you'll have a "let's do this!" attitude!
post op advice, stay on top of your pain management. Do not feel weird about asking for your meds, the nurses will ask you about a bajillion times if you need them anyway. I feel this was one of the major factors why I had such positive experience at Stony Brook. That and the nurses are all like your mom lol.

so sorry your feeling so overwhelemed and emotional but I truly think its natural and very common to feel that way. You are not letting anyone down, you have been a great mommy to be and just think at the end of all this the beautiful baby you get to hold in your arms!!!

i had a panick attack while sitting in pre-op just hours before my csection. i could not stop crying. i was just scared, scared about how life was about to change. likely scared about the procedure and recovery. everything thought i was upset about my C being delayed but I couldnt even express it. i was just sad and worried and scared and felt like i wasnt ready.
you will be fine! once that baby is in your arms, nothing else matters. take it minute by minute. i remember being 39 weeks pregnant and my sister came over with my niece who was 7 months. she was just beginning to move around and getting into things. i remember thinking "shhiiit, I am NOT ready for this" and then when my son was 4 months and my sister brought my niece over and she was beginning to walk. again, how the HELLL am I going to handle that?
it happens gradually, the changes are gradual. you learn day by day to handle things and to shift with the changes. you will be FINE!
take a DEEP breath and just go with it
