Metformin pill color
A refill came from Krauppners last night and the pills are white. My last Rx, the pills were a light red/reddish or pink tinted.
Anyone else?

My 500s are white. My 750s are light red/pinkish. All Extended release. Hth!

My 500s are white. My 750s are light red/pinkish. All Extended release. Hth!
Hmmm interesting. The new bottle says 750. I guess I'll just call. I didn't even know they make 500s. I wonder if they'd be easier on my stomach, the lesser mg.

This was the first time I've ever been on 750s and had never seen that color before. I'm on 2000mg/day so usually take 4-500mg pills... 2 and 2.
Do you take extended release ones? They're better than regular if they bother your stomach.

Yes, I take the XR. I called and they said that both the reddish and white are generic. I think I'll ask to see if I can take the brand name. I'm hoping that'll give my body a break.
