Push Playlist
What is on your playlist for labor? DH and I are working on the playlist tonight. I was thinking of vacation type songs (happy thoughts) maybe some Enya too. I need some more ideas.

Yes I did!! Made DH find someplace to plug it in. I listened to U2, Peter Gabriel (one resident commented on that), Foo Fighters, Bob Marley, REM and a few others. Didn't get to have it for the delivery though, ended up with a section.

omg so hard to pick though...don't know if i'd want music that DH and I love on our vacations (baby i love your way, kokomo, UB40's can't help falling in love...that kinda stuff)
or my workout mix which is like house/techno
I know Mariah Carey demanded a certain song of hers be playing as her twins came out LOL

Re: Push Playlist
I had one, but in the end, I actually needed qthe room to be quiet. I had the tv on while waiting to dilate to push, but once I needed to push, the tv noise was really irritating me, so I had them turn it off. When I asked DH to turn the iPod on, it irritated me even more
I just couldn't concentrate on my focal point (sprinkler spout on the ceiling! LOL)
I had U2 - Beautiful Day, Walk On, stuck in a moment
John Lennon - Imagine, watching the wheels. A bunch of George Harrison
I know there was more, but I can't remember at the moment

Re: Push Playlist
I had a huge play list since I had natural births and wanted to be "zen" I had a lot of Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, The Doors, etc. But the one that calmed me down the most during was "Lay Lady Lady" by Bob Dylan. I ended up putting it on replay toward the end.

That's a good idea. You can skip over anything your not in the mood for then. Maybe I will just make different playlists with different genres of music so they will be divided.

Re: Push Playlist
Crashing here but I once got a cavity filled without novicaine and listened to the Cranberries on my discman.
Whenever I listen to the Cranberries, even to this day... I get a pain in my mouth.
I'm just sayin'!!

Definitely..I figure my mood will change..at times I might want the relaxing, soothing music...at times the fun music..I also like chill music like Bob Marley, Sublime...I'd put a good mix and like you said, skip it if you're not in the mood!!

that's a very good point!
i will probably have a mix of music that i like to chill too (311, reggae, sublime, etc) and then a mix of my favorite angry music that i would listen to if i was trying to get all my aggression out. we'll see what i'm in the mood to listen to at the time!
