BTDT---JJ Bundle me...???
I never heard of this until a recent post.
I am due in Oct so my DS will be in his infant seat in the winter--is this a must have or can I skip it? I planned on wrapping him up in a blanket but if this is easier/better I will get it.

DD was born in November and it was a must. It was probably one of my favorite baby items. Just so easy and convenient

Re: BTDT---JJ Bundle me...???
For us, it was great- so convenient and cozy. However, it is NOT recommended as far as car seat safety is concerned. Carseats have no been crash tested with them and it is not recommended to use anything that goes between the baby and the carseat, which the Bundle Me does. I have heard that JJ Cole has a new version of it now though, that fits over the seat, which is perfectly safe to use, so you might want to look into that.

My DD is a November baby - this one will be December. I always just used a blanket and plan on the same for this one. I dont like that they arent recommended in the car seats and the blanket was easy enough - not to mention we got soo many! lol

Re: BTDT---JJ Bundle me...???
DS was a May baby. We used it from October to January when he outgrew the infant seat. It was AMAZING. I never had to worry about bundling him. I put him into the infant seat, wrapped a blanket around him (after buckled in) then zipped him up and threw a hat on him.
MUCH easier then worrying about bulky coats (which arent safe with the infant seat anyway) ... i know, some will say the bundleme isnt safe but it was right for us!
a MUST have

Re: BTDT---JJ Bundle me...???
IMHO it's amust. I had a December baby. You should NOT wrap them in blankets. There should be no extra fabric between baby and the straps. I don't mean clothing, but some say not even a winter coat. I never did use one. I bought the Kiddopotamus car seat COVER. You should buy that or the JJ Cole car seat COVER NOT the bundle me which goes inside the seat as well and is NOT safe. I would place dd in the car seat, put a fleece blanket over her and then zip up the car seat cover. That was plenty for her. SHe was nice and warm in there. It's a small space so her body heat kept her good not to mention we didn't go very far. SHe was just to small!

I had it & loved it. Will use it again for #2.
It kept DS VERY warm & was easy: stick him in & that's it. No coats necessary.

We didn't use them. I just wrapped the boys in blankets. Once they were in the car and the heat was blasting, I'd remove the blankets. That worked out easier for us.

Re: BTDT---JJ Bundle me...???
They have a JJ Cole car seat cover now so you don't have to have fabric in the actual seat with has been the issue with the Bundle Me, this is what I got for the baby this time. It just goes over the top of the car seat, put a blanket over the baby inside and that's it.

Re: BTDT---JJ Bundle me...???
Used it for DC#1 and DC#2 and loved it! didnt have to worry about a bunting or a blanket when they were little during the winter..and it was A LOT easier to trasfer a sleeping baby into crib/bassinet without having to undress them!
Def a top 10 fav item in this house!

Re: BTDT---JJ Bundle me...???
I had this one for my DS, who was bron in September. I loved it and it was perfect.
If it was super cold out, I would tuck an aden and anais blanket around him once he was strapped in and than zip up the bundle me.
I have the one for the big stroller for this coming winter. It will be perfect since DS kicks off any blankets you put on him.

Re: BTDT---JJ Bundle me...???
You're going to be a SAHM, right? I'd skip it. DD was born in late November, and if it was really that cold out, we stayed home. I used a big thick blanket when we had to go out for doc's appts. If you really want a Bundle Me, get the one that looks like a shower cap. The ones that look like a sleeping bag aren't as safe (they can interfere with strapping the baby into the carseat).
Hope this helps!
