would you reuse dc#1 coming home outfit?
My dd #1 wore a white embroidered sleep and play type thing home from the hospital when she was born. I still have it and it only has a little tiny spit up stain around the neck I couldnt get out. It has a matching hat. Would you reuse it for dd#2 or get her something new?!

I think its a cute idea, later on you can show them they both wore the same outfit home. Maybe try the cleaners to get stain out??

I used DD1 outfit for #2! I thought it would be something cute to share with them when they were older. Plus they were only 14m apart so it was like brand new

I am, we just took it out and it is in perfect condition. I thought it would be cute and DD#1 loves the idea that the new baby will wear the same outfit she wore coming home.

When we picked our son's outfit, we agreed to use it for all our babies. We thought it would be nice to have them all wear the same special outfit. It's gender neutral since we were Team (and always will be!).

Re: would you reuse dc#1 coming home outfit?
I don't see why not...I opted to get a different outfit since they're only 18 months apart and he's mostly getting hand-me-downs from DS#1. I figured why not give him a different coming home outfit.

I'm not going to b/c I feel like DS2 is already getting all hand-me-downs and probably will be in hand-me-downs until he's 20, lol.

Re: would you reuse dc#1 coming home outfit?
I did for DS1 & 2 - it was a white fleece absorba outfit which was obvious gentral neutral (I was team green). I like the sentiment behind it.
I want to use for DC3 as well but I think it may be too warm (I expect to go in early October). My boys were Oct. 30 and March 20.

If it's white, Chlorox makes a bleach pen that's really easy to use, that might work And I would totally use the same outfit!

Re: would you reuse dc#1 coming home outfit?
If it had been gender neutral or I was having another boy I would. DS#1's outfit is very boy so we got a new outfit for #2

Re: would you reuse dc#1 coming home outfit?
I would, but DD#1 came home in a pretty pink, short sleeved dress. She was born in August.
This DD will be born in October, so short sleeves aren't appropriate, and I ended up changing DD when we got home into something long sleeved / pants because it was cool in our apartment with the AC and she wasn't comfortable in the dress.

You definitely could...I was thinking about it (if it was a girl)...but my DH promised DD that she could pick out an outfit for the baby to come home in...she picked this... Image Attachment(s):

Re: would you reuse dc#1 coming home outfit?
Personally, I wouldn't. I feel like the second kid always gets the shaft and tons of hand-me-downs as it is so it's first outfit should be special for it. That's JMO. But if you were planning on making "the outfit" all of your babies come home in, then that's different and I say go for it.

I probably will. She literally only wore it for the ride home (about a mile )

that is adorable
I don't see anything wrong with reusing the same outfit but I personally would probably buy a new outfit. Just because I would love to shop with the new baby, only, in mind. plus i love to shop so one more reason to buy something adorable

Re: would you reuse dc#1 coming home outfit?
Sure, why not. Maybe I'm in the minority, but after worrying for weeks about what she would wear coming home I found myself not caring in the least once it came time to finally take her home. I guess it depends if you're taking her/him home to a big debut of friends/family. We weren't.

Re: would you reuse dc#1 coming home outfit?
I don't see anything wrong with it, but I would by something new. I figure when I'm done having LO's that will be one of the items I put on the side for them. Whether or or not they'll want it is another question lol.
