Spray Painting Furniture

Has anyone done this?? I need to do a wrought iron head board and a small little wood table. I would prefer a professional do it, but it seems so $$ for such small pieces that I am considering just doing myself.

Spraying I know is better than brushing because you get a more even finished look.

They are for DD's room and I want them to come out PERFECT.

I did this the other day with oil rubbed bronze rustoleum spray paint. It came out perfect, just make sure whatever your spraying is cleaned and dry. Go outside and wear a mask and spray a coat evenly, then go back and do a second when it is dry.

I spray paint everything LOL. Everything has turned out awesome until yesterday! I took an awesome high chair for the island seating and sprayed it flat black. I should have maybe done semi glass, but either way its terrible. :( Now I have 3 that matches and one thats ruined.

Re: Spray Painting Furniture

are there any tips, like make sure you hold the paint can x many inches away?

I assume I can get primer, but what about like a top coat?

i've never actually sprayed any, but I do have a pile of "projects" that I need to get to at some point! I did hear that you should use semi gloss for furniture, so you can clean it easily (as opposed to matte finish). hth!
