Spinoff to Christening question - WWYD??? (little long)

So, I have been thinking about my LO's christening. I'm a little ahead of myself seeing that is not even born yet! LOL

Anyway, DH is a football fanatic and having the christening on a Sunday would really just give me the biggest headache ever to have to listen to him about missing football.

My church does one Saturday a month. One of the Saturdays happens to fall on the day after my SIL was SUPPOSED to get married (she caught her fiance cheating on her and called off the wedding about 3 weeks ago).

The other Saturday is Thanksgiving weekend. I honestly don't know which to pick..... I would rather have it on a Saturday so that Sunday could be a "recovery" day. Any ideas????

I think I would pick the Saturday that works best for YOU. I think it's really considerate of you to not have it the day after your SIL was supposed to get married, but if that day is better for you, I would think she would understand and be ok. It might actually give her something to look forward to that weekend so she's not thinking about how she was supposed to get married. I also think Saturday after Thanksgiving would be fine too though.
