First trimester and allergies.
I know for a fact that I took Zyrtec in the 1st trimester with my preveious pregnancies. I also think I took a nasal spray as well (my allergies are horrendous!).
So I call the dr to get a nasal spray. I've been taking Zrytec. And she tells me that they recommend not taking anything!  I CAN'T do that! I will be miserable. And I KNOW I've done it before, and someone must have told me it was ok, because I don't take anything without an ok first.
What have you been told?

A humidifier and saline sprays.  That does absolutely nothing for me.
The thing is, I know they prescribed me a nasal spray last time. Maybe she is just playing it safe since I haven't come in for my first visit yet.

thats really weird... its a class B drug so i dont know why she would say no especially if youve taken it before

i live on zyertac for spring and fall allergies.. and i specifcally asked if i can take anything, and she said only benadryl if needed.. so i just grunted and bore through it.. I feel your pain

My OB said OK to zyrtec. I try to take it every other day or every third day if I can make it.
you can also take benedryl, but I only do this at night.

I have severe allergies in spring and fall. I'm currently 25 weeks and my first trimester was smack in the middle of spring! I took my nasal and antihistamine (schedule b). I can't breathe w/o it. I see a HR, OBGYN and Pulmonologist.
