Our September 1st check is for the previous year we worked, right?

I'm most likely starting my 6 weeks maternity leave the first day of school (Sept 6), so I'm trying to figure out will my maternity checks be Sept 15, Oct 1, and Oct 15? Or will my last check be Oct 1? trying to figure out a budget
